America To Go is coming to UT Austin
The University of Texas at Austin is excited to announce that we will soon be able to order everything from breakfast, lunch, and break service for your on-campus meetings and events through our new strategic partner, America To Go. Customized to meet the University’s needs, America To Go will provide UT with:
24/7 Customer Service and Account Management - 24/7 customer service, including a chat feature, and a dedicated Account Manager to assist with planning your next event, adding a new vendor or other inquiries.
Tastings – Onsite tastings for your department, so you can try new vendors in a low-risk environment to consider for your next event.
Trainings – Onsite and web-based trainings for your department regarding America to Go site navigation and frequently asked questions about catering.
A User-Friendly Interface – An easy-to-use website to place basic and customized catering orders with searchable menus, saved favorites, running invoice totals and accessible order history features.
Improved Choice and Information - Including filters, search functions, and reviews to help you find exactly the caterers or items you want.
Support for HUB and Small Local Vendors – The ability to easily find and support historically underutilized and small local businesses.
Support for University Sustainability Initiatives – Extending sustainability initiatives to restaurants and caterers serving the University. America To Go’s support for sustainability initiatives has been presented at the national conference of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
Reduced Risk – All restaurants and caterers on the site are required to meet the University’s terms and conditions and will have been properly vetted for insurance and Health Department requirements.
Streamlined Process – Procurement method and contract will be pre-negotiated.Additionally, all payments issued to single vendor delivering a significant reduction in time related to food ordering.
Have a favorite caterer?
Please encourage them to join the America To Go program as soon as possible. Those that have signed up early will be featured in upcoming tastings and communications.
